🎉 STAND OUT SOCKS x PROJECT EMPOWERMENT – MAKING NOISE EVERY DAY FOR THE LEAD UP TO WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY!
At Stand Out Socks ✌️🧡🧦, we’re beyond excited to announce our participation in Project Empowerment! As we gear up for World Down Syndrome Day, we’ll be sharing inspiring stories from the incredible people involved every single day. 💙💛
Project Empowerment is an amazing initiative that gives individuals and groups the chance to harness their entrepreneurial skills while raising awareness for World Down Syndrome Day on March 21st. It’s all about empowerment, personal growth, and making a tangible difference in the world!
DAY 2 - Down Syndrome Bradford
We are thrilled to support Down Syndrome Bradford and their incredible event on March 22nd, where funds will be raised to support early development groups for children with Down syndrome.
The day will be filled with excitement, featuring Voices of Yorkshire singing outside the shop, a special book signing for George Webster’s new book, ‘George and the Mini Dragon’ (with a chance George himself might make an appearance!), plus a phenomenal performance from dance21! 🕺🎶
All the money raised will go towards helping 45 young children (aged 0-5) with Down syndrome develop key early skills, such as interaction, speech, numbers, language, and reading. This support will give them the best possible start before they head into mainstream primary school. 💛
We’re proud to have Stand Out Socks on sale at the event, and we’re also donating 100 socks to help make a bigger impact. We hope this small gesture can help contribute to such a wonderful cause.
If you’re in the area, we would love for you to join us and show your support for this fantastic event!

Celebrate World Down Syndrome Day
On March 21st, millions of people across the globe will unite to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day. One of the best ways to raise awareness is by wearing brightly coloured, often mismatched socks. This tradition represents chromosomes—shaped like socks—and highlights the fact that people with Down syndrome have an extra copy of chromosome 21.
It’s a fun and meaningful way to celebrate individuality, spark conversations, and show support for inclusion. 🌍💙
Join the movement and make your statement. To get involved, head over to www.standoutsocks.co.uk.
Let’s make noise, raise awareness, and continue empowering one sock at a time! ✨
