BBC's Strictly Come Dancing Sara Davies, With Ross (The first Entrepreneur To Pitch With Down Syndrome) Outside Dragons Den Dressing Room

My Dragons' Den Experience Dancing With Sara Davies MBE

Dragons' Den hit our TV screens again this Thursday, and it brought back incredible memories from last year when I had the unforgettable opportunity to walk into the Dragons' Den studio. The Stand Out Socks ✌️🧡🧦 story was shared with the Dragons, and while we didn’t strike a deal with Sara Davies, her support has been beyond inspiring.

Sara is a true champion of diversity in business, regularly spotlighting Stand Out Socks on her social media. She’s shown herself to be not just a Dragon, but an incredible advocate for diverse entrepreneurs like me.

But let me tell you, Sara’s influence extends far beyond the boardroom. She’s as warm and kind as she is successful — and it’s that generosity of spirit that has made her a beloved figure, not just on Dragons' Den but among everyone she encounters. Of course, let’s not forget her legendary chocolate brownies, which are just as delightful as her personality.

For those who watched the episode, you saw how we instantly clicked. And yes, I may have shown off my Strictly Come Dancing moves — something I know her Strictly partner, Aljaž Škorjanec, would have applauded! 👏 While we weren’t in the business boardroom together, we definitely smashed it in the ballroom of life! 💃.

So as we eagerly anticipate this Thursday's Dragons' Den pitches, we’ll be cheering on the brave entrepreneurs who are about to step into the Den. Good luck to you all — your journey is just beginning!

Here’s to the power of diversity in business, the joy of Strictly Come Dancing, and, of course, the boldest, best socks around! 🧦✨
