Empowering Entrepreneurs: Stand Out Socks x Project Empowerment - Day 8

STAND OUT SOCKS x PROJECT EMPOWERMENT – MAKING NOISE FOR WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY!

At Stand Out Socks ✌️🧡🧦, inclusion isn’t just a word—it’s a movement. That’s why we’re so excited to launch Project Empowerment in the lead-up to World Down Syndrome Day (March 21st)! Every day, we’ll be sharing inspiring stories of individuals who are breaking barriers, proving their potential, and making a difference in their communities.

What is Project Empowerment?

💙💛 Project Empowerment is an initiative designed to help individuals kick-start their entrepreneurial journeys, develop new skills, and build confidence—all while raising awareness for World Down Syndrome Day. It’s all about empowerment, growth, and creating real opportunities for people with learning disabilities.

DAY 8 - Meet Liam & Jamie

Today, we’re spotlighting two incredible individuals—Liam & Jamie—who are setting out to make a mark in the world of inclusive fashion.

To support their journey, we’re donating 100 pairs of socks to help them take the first step toward their business dream!

👕 Liam & Jamie’s Vision:

  • Launch an inclusive clothing brand designed for individuals with sensory sensitivities.

  • Create tag-free, ultra-soft materials that provide comfort for people with autism and other disabilities.

  • Add built-in fidget features to support focus and self-regulation.

Liam is a TikTok sensation who goes live every day, using Makaton signing and singing to spread joy. Jamie is the ultimate hype man, bringing energy and positivity wherever he goes. Together, they’re proving that disabilities don’t define potential—they fuel it!

They’ll be going live to sell socks, raise awareness about Down syndrome, and take their first big step toward their fashion brand. We can’t wait to see where this journey takes them!

Why Socks on March 21st?

On World Down Syndrome Day, millions of people wear bright, often mismatched socks to spark conversations about inclusion.

Why socks? Chromosomes are shaped like socks—and people with Down syndrome have an extra copy of chromosome 21. It’s a simple yet powerful way to celebrate uniqueness, individuality, and the importance of inclusion.

Join the Movement!

Want to show your support? Rock your mismatched socks on March 21st and spread the word about World Down Syndrome Day. Every step we take together makes a difference!
