At Stand Out Socks, we are continuing to celebrate Project Empowerment! In the lead-up to World Down Syndrome Day, we’re sharing incredible stories every single day from the amazing individuals involved in this inspiring initiative.
💙💛 Project Empowerment provides individuals with the opportunity to develop their entrepreneurial skills, gain valuable experience, and boost their future prospects—all while raising awareness for World Down Syndrome Day on March 21st. It’s all about empowerment, growth, and making a real difference!
DAY 19 - Meet Lynsey and Paul!
Today, we’re excited to introduce Lynsey and Paul, an incredible couple who have been married for 10 years and live independently in their cozy bungalow in Cramlington. 🏡
They’re passionate about dance, drama, the gym, bowling, and spending quality time with friends. 💃🕺
Lynsey works one day a week as a kitchen assistant at the Delta Hotel Marriott and is eager to get her colleagues involved in Project Empowerment! She plans to sell socks at work and encourage everyone to proudly wear their odd socks! 🧦
The funds raised will go towards promoting awareness and creating exciting opportunities, like art workshops, adventure days, and residential weekends to help build independence. 💪💙
Lynsey, Paul, and their community are proving that with the right opportunities, everyone can thrive. 🌟
