STAND OUT SOCKS x PROJECT EMPOWERMENT – MAKING NOISE EVERY DAY FOR THE LEAD-UP TO WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY!

At Stand Out Socks, we are continuing to celebrate Project Empowerment! In the lead-up to World Down Syndrome Day, we’re sharing incredible stories every single day from the amazing individuals involved in this inspiring initiative.

💙💛 Project Empowerment provides individuals with the opportunity to develop their entrepreneurial skills, gain valuable experience, and boost their future prospects—all while raising awareness for World Down Syndrome Day on March 21st. It’s all about empowerment, growth, and making a real difference!

DAY 15 - Meet Jake!

Today, we’re celebrating Jake, a 21-year-old powerhouse who is passionate about creating fun and inclusive social experiences for young adults with additional needs.

With 100 pairs of Stand Out Socks, Jake will be raising funds to support events that help build confidence, friendships, and unforgettable memories! 🎉💙

Currently studying hospitality and drama at Foxes Academy, Jake is also actively involved in the National Down Syndrome Policy Group and performs with the Firebird Drama Group. As if that wasn’t impressive enough, he even volunteers at Glastonbury Festival, spreading positive vibes everywhere he goes! 🎭🎶

Instead of setting a fixed price for his socks, Jake has come up with a brilliant idea—he’ll link donations to experiences:
🎳 £6 for a bowling session
🎭 £50 for a theatre ticket

Every donation will go towards making special moments possible for others. We absolutely LOVE this approach and can’t wait to see the incredible impact Jake makes!
