STAND OUT SOCKS x PROJECT EMPOWERMENT – MAKING NOISE EVERY DAY FOR THE LEAD-UP TO WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY!
At Stand Out Socks, we are continuing to celebrate Project Empowerment! In the lead-up to World Down Syndrome Day, we’re sharing incredible stories every single day from the amazing individuals involved in this inspiring initiative.
💙💛 Project Empowerment provides individuals with the opportunity to develop their entrepreneurial skills, gain valuable experience, and boost their future prospects—all while raising awareness for World Down Syndrome Day on March 21st. It’s all about empowerment, growth, and making a real difference!
DAY 14 - Meet Nick, Amy & Black Country Housing Group!
Today, we’re shining a light on Nick and Amy, two inspiring individuals who are using their Project Empowerment journey to spread awareness and raise funds for something special!
👟 Nick: “I love football, especially the Albion! I’ll be showing my socks to my group and saving up for my favourite drink—Fanta Orange!” ⚽🥤
🍽️ Amy: “I’ve applied for jobs but haven’t been successful yet. I’ll be selling socks at my gym class and day centre. When I earn some money, I’d love to go for a meal out with a glass of wine!” 🍷🍽️
With the amazing support of Black Country Housing Group (BCHG), Nick and Amy will be selling socks at a special World Down Syndrome Day event and bringing them to BCHG’s Karaoke & Disco Night for adults with disabilities!
Their 100-pair sock donation will not only help keep these events thriving but also make a real impact in their community. We can’t wait to see them in action! 🎶🕺💛
