At Stand Out Socks, we are continuing to celebrate Project Empowerment! In the lead-up to World Down Syndrome Day, we’re sharing incredible stories every single day from the amazing individuals involved in this inspiring initiative.
💙💛 Project Empowerment provides individuals with the opportunity to develop their entrepreneurial skills, gain valuable experience, and boost their future prospects—all while raising awareness for World Down Syndrome Day on March 21st. It’s all about empowerment, growth, and making a real difference!
DAY 13 - Meet David!
Today, we’re excited to introduce David, a true social butterfly with a heart of gold! ❤️
David recently celebrated his 40th birthday (Happy belated birthday, David! 🎉) and spends his days working at his local social enterprise garden centre, where he creates stunning hanging baskets and enjoys serving customers.
But David’s life is about much more than just work! He’s a passionate swimmer, a gym enthusiast, and a football lover. He also thrives on adventure, having tackled rock climbing, canoeing, and other thrilling activities on his residential trips. 🏞️💪
For Project Empowerment, we’re beyond thrilled to support David’s next big adventure by donating 100 pairs of Stand Out Socks. He’ll be using them to raise funds while spreading awareness for World Down Syndrome Day—a perfect example of how empowerment leads to incredible opportunities!
